The NZ MTBO Champs was held over the weekend in Nelson on the Codgers Mountain Bike Park. The champions were Patrick Higgins and Marquita Gelderman, with Chris Forne blowing a big lead by missing a control at the end of the course.

The courses were in two parts really. Some very steep 4WD and single track, steep even by Wgtn standards. After some nice downhill which went by all too quickly came the enlargement which was made even trickier by a lot of directional tracks. There's 10km of track in the enlargement.
